Glasgow Duo release new 'Scotpop' banger

Glasgow pop duo Scratchcard Wednesday are set to release their new single ‘SINNER’ on March 27, 2026.

Vocalist Tyrese Ojo and multi-instrumentalist Dexter Brady, both born and living in the city, are building their success on the centre's streets. They are using a mixture of online energetic content creating and Spotify, which has blown up a mass fan base for their live interviews and performances. Their recent track ‘SOBER’ spent 22 weeks on the Spotify charts.

Fans are being teased with the release on their Tik Tok and Instagram channels and encouraged to pre-save the track in anticipation for its release.

Ojo and Brady said: ‘We wanted to create something that really connects with people and feels big live.’

They have already performed live supporting Professor Green in Glasgow’s SWG3 and headlining and selling out at the iconic King Tut’s.

The band said: ‘We are a Glasgow country-pop, alt-pop, ‘ScotPop’ duo blending big hooks, acoustic guitars, trumpets, and chant along choruses.’

Scratchcard Wednesday’s success reflects Glasgow’s strong music scene, which has produced the likes of Biffy Clyro, Deacon Blue, Travis, Cocteau Twins and Primal Scream.

Their continuing success is down to them immersing themselves in the city’s dense vibrant grassroots scene, focusing on local networking, securing gigs at iconic small venues, whilst embracing content creating, social networking and digital platforms.

Things are blowing up fast for them with 60k+ organic monthly listeners, 100k+socials, festival slots at Heartland, Belladrum Tartan Heart, Kendal Calling, as well as a UK tour this year.
