Saturday night, a buzzing Glasgow crowd, a mega pint, your pals and an indie legend.

Miles Kane made an enthusiastic return to Glasgow, starting his “Sunlight in the Shadows” tour on Saturday night.

A packed O2 Academy greeted Miles Kane back to Glasgow after stepping in last minute for Wunderhorse at TRNSMT in July 2025. Kane released “Sunlight in the Shadows” in October 2025, which featured GRAMMY-winning producer Dan Auerbach from the Black Keys.

Kane is also known for being in the band “The Last Shadow Puppets,” with Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner. The band has two albums and on previous tours, Kane has performed songs from the band.

The last time Kane performed a song from the duo’s side project was in 2023, which might disappoint some fans.

The stage is drowned in a sea of leopard print-designed music equipment, reminding you of who Miles Kane really is. A true performer that keeps you entertained with a microphone and a guitar alone. Alongside this, his incredible indie-rock music is backed up by confidence.

Kane graced the crowd with his presence and kicked off the tour with the song “I Pray,” from the new album, which set the vibe for the night.

The setlist saw songs from indie classics to slower ballads and the crowd was engrossed from the first strum of his guitar. Kane then took fans back to one of his first singles from 2011, Rearrange.

All fan favourites from most of his albums were heard throughout the night. The crowd enjoyed songs like “Coup De Grace,” “Inhaler,” “Troubled Son,” and “Don’t Forget Who You Are.”

You could feel the energy from the crowd rub off onto the band and the gig took on another level.

The encore saw Miles Kane finish a great gig with “Sunlight in the Shadows,” – the title track of the album and tour – and “Come Closer.”

With the crowd continuing to sing the chorus back to the man himself, a fabulous evening came to an end. Anyone going to any other gig on the tour is certainly in for a treat.
