Boyband Popstar Takes his Talents to Glasgow Country Club

Popstar and member of the popular British boyband JLS, Aston Merrygold has announced he will be making a star appearance in Renfrewshire. Merrygold will be taking to the DJ set on 31 January at the popular Ingliston Country Club.

The gig is set to take place during the country club’s usual icebreaker event, which is taking place between 2pm and 9pm. This gig comes not long after Aston was rushed to hospital in summer earlier this year, after he played in front of 80,000 people at Capital’s Summertime Ball.

Fans of the popstar have been promised it’s an “ultimate event you won’t want to miss”. Attendees of the event who have purchased tickets are also entitled to a two-course meal, and glass of champagne.

The boyband is huge in the UK, the band's debut album was released on the 9 November 2009 and has since sold over 1.5 million copies in the United Kingdom. JLS won the awards for British Breakthrough and British Single for “Beat Again’’ at the 2010 BRIT Awards.

Merrygold exclaimed his excitement for the gig online, saying: "Yo, what's going on, guys? Aston from JLS here, listen, come, and join me for an exclusive DJ set at Ingliston Day Club on 31 January. It's going to be going off, so get your tickets now and see you there." Another big face, DJ Steve Clarke is set to play a DJ set after Merrygold.

Tickets for the event are currently selling online for £39 per person, the venue is also promoting his gig on their TikTok page, the video managed to reach over 71,000 views.

The country club were ecstatic about Merrygold playing. They posted: “January blues cured, Ashton Merrygold booked, come join us on Saturday, 31 January.”

Fans quickly commented, saying things like: “The day after my birthday! I NEED TO BE THERE!” and “Can’t wait!”
