From the highs of winning the Premier League last season to losing nine out of their last 12 games, is it time for Richard Hughes, FSG and the board members to give Slot his notice?
Liverpool’s season started well winning their first seven of nine games. However, after their win at home to Southampton, they went on a four-game losing streak across all competitions.
The Reds responded brightly with a 5-1 win away to Eintracht Frankfurt. Many thought of this as the restart point in their season.
This was then followed up with back-to-back losses to Crystal Palace and Brentford. They then won a further two against Aston Villa and Real Madrid.
In the three Liverpool games since the Madrid victory on November 4th, Liverpool have since failed to win a match.
Over the course of the 24/25 Premier League where Liverpool won the title, they only lost 4 games. In the current 25/26 season Liverpool have exceeded this by losing 5 games by the end of match week 11. There are 38 match weeks in a season.
Liverpool now sit 12th in the Premier league and 13th in the Champions League table.

Slot commented on the defeat to PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday night, saying: “It’s a shock for everyone, for the players, for me. This is very unexpected. I am feeling safe, I am okay though.”
During this difficult time for the club, many fans have called for Slot’s sacking while others have questioned the faith Liverpool supporters had in former manager Jurgen Klopp.
Many said that if Klopp was on a similar run supporters would not be questioning his role at the club. However, Klopp built up a sense of trust with the fans over the eight years he managed Liverpool.
Klopp has Liverpool winning trophies for fun, including a Champions League title in 2019.
Liverpool's losing streak is only comparable to 70 years ago. What is undeniable is the impact that Jurgen Klopp left in his wake after departing at the end of the 23/24 season. Any replacement would have faced immense scrutiny.
Several reports have suggested that should Slot be fired by Liverpool, they would have to pay him a hefty sum due to the terms of his contract. Slot spent a club record £400 million over the summer to sign players like Hugo Ekitike, Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak. Yet these signings have proved to be less than exceptional for the club with around 10 goal contributions between them.

Would firing Slot now overshadow their investment? Is it necessary to rescue the season?
Fans are starting to turn on the players and manager; they were booed off after a 4-1 loss to PSV.
Former Liverpool Vice-Captain turned pundit Jamie Carragher even claimed “his legs have gone” when talking about Mohammed Salah. Virgil Van-Dijk didn’t fare much better. During the game the Liverpool captain seemingly high fived the ball awarding a penalty and opener to PSV.
The current favourite to replace Arne Slot if he is relieved from his duties is Xabi Alonso. The former player is allegedly having a torrid time behind the scenes at Los Blancos despite stellar on-pitch results.
