GLASGOW BEHR REWIND TIME WITH STAR GATE
By Ally Cunningham
Glasgow Indie band BEHR have released their debut single Star Tonight. The single has been gaining steady traction across social media platforms such as Tik Tok, Instagram and Spotify. This guitar driven indie style has started to connect the guys with audiences beyond Scotland.
The band, consisting of brothers Allan and Colin Watson, lead guitarist Jordan, bassist Jack, and rhythm guitarist Bosko, began building momentum on the Glasgow live circuit. They have secured support slots at iconic venues including Nice N Sleazy and the Garage Attic.
Originally formed by the Watson brothers in the 90s, the band have a distinct recognisable “90s influenced Glasgow indie” sound. Their artistic style carries the strength of Brit guitar with vibrant Scottish energy.
Influenced by musicians such as James, Inspiral Carpets and The Farm, BEHR describe their music as built around big choruses, melodic guitars and energetic live performances.
The group are preparing to return to the studio to record their next run of singles while continuing their push to help to reignite a modern Scottish indie scene.
BEHR said: “Britpop is not dead.”
