Harry Styles: Aperture Track Review
By Jordan Henderson
After three long years, fans can breathe a sigh of relief as Harry Styles has finally dropped some new music.
The lead single, Aperture, taken from his upcoming studio album Kiss All the Time, Disco Occasionally, has been rather divisive, receiving mixed reviews online.
Sonically, there has been a shift from his usual sound, drifting into a more synthetic pop sound. Fans have been clamouring for the star’s return, so naturally, with a change of sound, there are mixed reviews.
The change of sound has been executed extremely well. Styles has proven over recent years that he is a versatile artist, despite critics claiming that all he does is produce generic pop records. This new track sees him showcase his songwriting in a much more mature way than fans may be used to.
The track brings an energy that enhances the intrigue surrounding the upcoming record, which is set to be released on 6th March.
While fans hope that there will be some tracks that have that signature sound that Styles has managed to perfect in recent years, there is something quite intriguing about this new direction for Styles.
“We belong together” seems to be the lyric that has resonated most with fans online, so much so that his upcoming tour is titled “Together, Together”.
Aperture will 100% be an incredible track to hear live. An energetic anthem that is made to be danced to with friends. With Styles set to play over 12 nights at Wembley Stadium, 30 nights at Madison Square Garden and multiple nights across Amsterdam and Mexico.
The show is set to be seen this summer, despite the ludicrous ticket prices set by Styles and his team.
