Popular Scottish football podcast Sammon’s Pizzeria- named after THAT famous pic of ex-Partick Thistle player Connor Sammon receiving his man-of-the-match award of a full pizza at Firhill have announced their Sammons Charity Shield- a five-a-side event to raise some money for worthy causes.

Via their X account (@SammonsPizzeria) they wrote: “Calling all Scottish football enthusiasts, we are delighted to announce plans for a charity 5-a-side football tournament on the June 14. As of now, we’re looking for teams of content creators to take part with all games being filmed and uploaded to the channel.”

They are reaching out to content creators, former players, podcasters and media teams in the hope they can run an event to raise for Dementia Scotland.

It will be held at the World of Football in Edinburgh.

The plan is 24 teams split into four groups, with knockouts but they are set to expand this due to a massive list of those interested.

With plenty of Scottish football personalities announced so far and more to follow it should be a great day out for all involved!
