2025’s best student Halloween events
By Hafsah Ahmed
It’s everyone’s favourite time of the year again. Where you get to dress up as your favourite fictional characters with the thought of waking up to your bank account in the minus.
But what’s the spot? Do we go for a classic Firewater experience up Sauchiehall Street? Or is Cathouse potentially the move? There are so many options, but we want to best.
We spoke to some students around Queen Street to see what the public’s favourites where.
Mikayla, Goldilocks for the night, is venturing to Haus on All Hallows Eve, expecting a very entertaining night.
Polo Lounge is hosting its own Halloween after-night event, which college student Amy has placed on a pedestal. She claims: “Everyone always goes all out which creates a really good atmosphere.”
This is what the people of Glasgow are most excited for, but here are some recommendations of my own.
Starting off strong with The Garage, the title alone of ‘Scotland’s biggest nightclub’ should be convincing enough.
Tickets for The Garage’s Halloween Friday event are unfortunately sold out, but that doesn’t mean you won’t get in, it just means you won’t have the same priority as ticket holders. I personally think the, more than likely, long wait will be worth it, especially if you have the right people with you.
The garage promises a diverse atmosphere and experience with SIX rooms for different music tastes, meaning no matter what you like, you will most definitely be satisfied here.
Finally, Cathouse is an alt-club known for its rock and metal music, and the common consensus is that they usually do Halloween the best. So, if that is the atmosphere you are into, then it’s definitely the place to be.
