The HEAT is on... again.

The sequel/prequel to Michael Mann’s 1995 epic crime drama, HEAT; that starred Hollywood icons like Robert De Niro and Al Pacino will soon begin filming later this year; as confirmed by one of the main actors who will be starring featured the film, Christian Bale. 

 The Welsh actor confirmed he would be in the film in an interview with ExtraTV, at the London premiere of The Bride, starring Christian Bale and Jessie Buckley. 

“Yeah, I'm doing it. My god, nobody better than Michael Mann doing a crime drama. Very excited about it”.  

HEAT 2, will be primarily based on the book Mann wrote and published in 2022; that took place before the events of the first move and afterwards; that mostly covers Pacino’s role – Detective Vincent Hanna’s time as a homicide detective in Los Angeles as well as the early years of criminal masterminds Neil McCauley and Chris Shiherlis, played by De Niro and the late Val Kilmer.
