Life Is Strange Reunion was announced in late January by developer Deck Nine Games and revealed that the popular character Chloe Price would return in this new entry in the series, and reuniting with her best friend Max Caulfield, who returned in the previous game – Life Is Strange: Double exposure.

This is the first time we have seen these two on screen since the first instalment in the original Life Is Strange, where we saw the duo’s town destroyed in a storm and Chloe dying in a shooting in her high school.

Max rediscovered her powers in Double Exposure, and her powers continue to evolve even further in the new game, with timelines merging to allow these two make their reunion.

We will return to the location of the previous game, Caledon University, and we will be able to play as both Max and Chloe. Both characters unique abilities are also making their return, Max’s rewind time abilities to manipulate time and revisit past events with polaroid pictures and Chloe’s back talk ability which allows her to access areas which may be out of bounds for Max.

From what we know, Chloe is in need of Max’s help to cope with her nightmares and relive memories from her past. All whilst facing the threat of a deadly inferno that will destroy the university. These games are choice based and the player will have to make decisions that can branch out the story, leading to numerous possibilities and outcomes, providing plenty of reasons to replay.

The developers confirmed that this game will be the end of Max and Chloe, but whether we will see future instalments and stories in this world is still unknown. We know that these characters share the same world as the protagonists from Life is Strange: True Colours and Life Is Strange 2, so the door is open for possible continuations of the series.

Life Is Strange Reunion releases 26th March 2026, and is available for pre-order on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles and PC.
