The Million-Pound Shot is an exciting, interesting gameshow which has fresh ways for participants to earn money. The gameshow will be shown on Channel 4 starting November 1, 2026.

The show has already caught the eye of thousands of viewers. TV host, Bradley Walsh, has been the face of highly successful shows, he’s most recognised for his witty and outgoing presenting on The Chase.

The most intriguing part of the show is, for the first time, participants will have to use their own money. Although Walsh claims there are more twists than that.

He said: “Alongside playing with their own money, there are more twists and turns along the way – I’m excited to see how it plays out.”

The show will start from 9pm on Sunday and will have three contestants competing. Every question that a contestant gets correct will give them a bet ball, each ball will have a cash value which they can then take the money or risk their winnings into a million-pound slot machine.

A major talking point of the gameshow has got to be the fact contestants use their own money. It’s designed to test how confident they are in their answers as the more assured contestants are, the more likely they are to put more money on.

The main point of the show could be questioned with this though: Is this a promotion towards gambling your hard-earned money?

With gameshows that Walsh has been in previously, you earn the money and can risk it all. With their own money on the line, will their choices be the same?

The show has been hidden well, with only glimpses being shown of Bradley Walsh standing on set.

Channel 4 has had many gameshows in the past, they’ve enjoyed successes such as Deal or No Deal, which was aired for 11 years.

Countdown is another popular gameshow Channel 4 has aired; it was them who created the show in 1982.

The Million-Pound Shot has all the characteristics to be a TV classic, with tension and excitement guaranteed in the show.
