Visiting Glasgow and in need of a coffee? With the new Blank Street coffee shop opening just five minutes away from Glasgow Central train station it's time to find out where the best coffee is in Glasgow.
Glasgow is a huge city so there is no shortage of coffee shops with options such as Black Sheep Coffee and Starbucks having multiple locations across the city. So which one has the best coffee considering the price, milk options and location.
First, we have Starbucks, in central Glasgow there are nine locations all just about 10-minutes walk from each other.
Starbucks offers seven milk options including dairy alternatives with the price of a medium ice latte being £4.20. Overall not overly expensive but not exactly cheap.

Reviews on these locations are on average 1 star with one customer writing: “Had to wait 15 mins for my coffee, not sure what was going on, but the staff were more interested in chatting about a trip to Germany rather than making coffee.” The food and drinks were rated highly but the service was not.
Next, we have another shop with multiple locations. Black Sheep Coffee has four locations across Glasgow.
It offers six different types of milk also including dairy alternatives although these can cost more. Coconut, soya and almond milk each cost 49p but without adding any of these alternative milks, a simple iced latte costs £4.29 just 9p more than Starbucks.
Most reviews for this shop hit 4 stars. One of the only complaints customers have is being required to order on a screen rather than speaking to a cashier, although some customers prefer the lack of conversation.
One customer wrote: “What I didn't like was having to order your drink on a screen like you would in McDonalds - tricky to navigate.” But the reviews for Black Sheep were positive praising the staff and coffee.
Sexy Coffee an establishment that does coffee, cocktails and food has just two locations in Glasgow within a five-minute walk from the other.
The shop only offers small and large sizes with a small, iced latte costing £3.30 and a large £3.40. This is the cheapest coffee so far.
Sexy Coffee’s menu is not available online, so it does not disclose if there are any milk alternatives.
Reviews for the shop are mostly 4 stars with one customer writing: “Only negative was that some staff looked completely miserable and gave impression they didn't want to be there!” Someone representing the shop then replied that they are working to fix the issue.

Until Blank Street’s Glasgow location opens on the 25th of April, we won't know for sure if their prices will differ from their Edinburgh location, but we can compare them to our other options.
Blank Street does not offer a medium size so a small, iced latte will cost you £4.75 with them charging an extra 50p to make your drink iced. A large would cost £5, by far the most expensive drink on the list.
Blank Street currently offers two alternative milks these being almond and oat milk for an extra £1.
The Edinburgh location has 4.5 stars on TripAdvisor with one customer writing: “Normal price in Edinburgh, of course, but not when the quality is lower than Starbucks. Nothing special or remarkable about this place, just another overpriced, trendy place.”
So, will the Glasgow location be worth it? Or could one of the many other coffee shops around Glasgow suit you better?
