Danny Rohl is the new Rangers manager, taking over last month after leaving English Championship side Sheffield Wednesday.
He is young and full of ideas, but will that be enough to see him through at Ibrox? Rangers have been struggling so far this season. The fans are losing patience and there is pressure to win from the get-go. Some fans don’t believe he is the right man for the job due to his record at Sheffield Wednesday winning only 38.20% of his games.
Rohl began life at Rangers two weeks ago, with an away trip in the Europa League against Norwegian side SK Brann. In the early stages, his team showed more energy and organisation. However, the Ibrox side went on to lose the game 3-0, a disappointing result for the manager. The fans gave him a pass, as he hasn’t had enough time with the squad to implement all his tactics.

Logan, 22, said: “He is probably going to be better than Russell Martin, it is probably too early to tell, it has been a 50/50 start as he has two wins and two defeats. Give him some time.” Some fans clearly have belief in Rohl and think he deserves time. It is clear the players need to give 100% to maximise that potential.
Josh, 20, said: “I wasn’t too sure at the start, first couple of games he picked up some good results and Rangers looked alright. Disappointing on Sunday vs Celtic, tough for him went down to 10 men early on, have to back him and keep some hope. He doesn’t have much experience, but he is here now so we must back him.” Fans backing Rohl is integral to him bringing success to the club, no matter their thoughts on the managerial appointment.

James, 18, said: “At first I didn’t think he was the man for the job. Being an assistant manager at other clubs, I don’t think he has the experience, but he has started not bad.” Rohl was not the Gers fans first pick, but a decent start has built some hope within the Ibrox fanbase.
The opinions from the public show that Danny Rohl still has a mountain to climb to win over the support. However, with a run of good results and some decent performances against main rivals Celtic, Danny Rohl will have a successful time in Govan.
